Briar Road were thrilled by the highly anticipated "Backflips Against Bullying" prerformance. Always a highlight on our school calendar Backflips against Bullying aims to educate and empower students about the importance of bullying awareness and prevention through the art of gymnastics.
The event featured a dazzling performance which showcased amazing skills with stunning routines that incorporated flips, tumbles, and backflips, all set to inspiring music and role play. Each performance was carefully choreographed to highlight themes of:
- Empowering the Bystander
- Exit Strategies for the Victim
- Deliberate Social Exclusion
- The Consequences of Retaliation
- Whole-School Action
Throughout the performance students and teachers were invited to participate in the performance. Mrs Anderson was also chosen to be a crash mat for the gand finale which had everyone out of their seats.
The performance was not only entertaining and informative but also served as a reminder of the Briar's commitment to fostering an inclusive and respectful environment for all students.
