Student Representative Council (SRC)
At Briar Road Public School, we develop our student’s leadership skills through informal and formal leadership programs, classroom teaching and authentic experiences. The Student Representative Council (SRC) encourages students to participate in a school leadership role to support them to become effective role models and leaders, and demonstrate service and responsibility toward their peers - creating a foundation for future leadership success. At Briar Road Public School, students are encouraged to be safe, respectful learners and to embrace the school motto of courage and determination, which we believe are pillars for effective leadership.
Infants Choir
At Briar Road Public School students from Kindergarten to Year 2 have the opportunity to participate in Infants Choir. Infants Choir is an extra-curricular activity held weekly at lunchtime. Students learn a repertoire of songs and have the opportunity to perform at infants assemblies, whole-school assemblies and special celebrations, such as NAIDOC week.
