Harmony Day

Harmony

Our school community came together today to celebrate Harmony Day, an event aimed at promoting multicultural inclusion. The theme, “Everyone Belongs,” resonated deeply as we recognized the diverse cultures that make up our amazing school.

Our school was vibrant and splashed with many diiferent colours as students were encouraged to wear cultural attire or anything with the colour orange.

Parents and community members were invited to join in the festivities, with our Harmony Day assembly featuring cultural perfomances from our Maori students in the Tasman Sea School,  a Bengali Dance and our Koori Dance group.

After the assembly our community were invited to join us for a picnic in Harmony Park and a visit to our Cultural museum filled with many different artefacts brought in by our students.

Harmony Day continues to be one of our most celebrated events on the calendar and will continue to be a highlight of the year.

Together, we can continue to build a school environment that celebrates diversity and cultivates a culture of acceptance and appreciation. Here's to many more days of harmony and connection in our school's journey towards inclusivity!
