School events bring learning to life and help shape our school culture. They help students build confidence, connect with others and celebrate their progress. Events also give families a chance to be involved in school life and share in their child’s achievements.

NAIDOC Week
National NAIDOC Week celebrations are held across Australia in the first week of July each year (Sunday to Sunday), to celebrate and recognise the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
Musical
Briar Road school hosts a Musical every second year that involves the whole school community. Each musical focuses on a different theme. Students and staff dress up in costume that involve singing, dancing and playing musical instruments demonstrating the wonderful talent we have here at our school.
Christmas
At the end of each school year we welcome the festive season by celebrating with our Christmas Concert . Students act, sing carols and dance to the joyous vibes of festive season. Keep an eye for our special guest visitor at the end of every show!
Harmony Day
Harmony Day is a day we're we celebrate Australia's cultural diversity and promote inclusiveness, respect, and a sense of belonging for all Australians
Book Week
Book Week is an annual event organized by the Children's Book Council of Australia (CBCA) that celebrates reading, Australian authors, and illustrators. Students come dressed in their favourite book characters.
Parent Dinner
Once a term Briar Road Public School invites our school community to an Afternoon Tea to support community engagement by building relationships with parents, carers and local services. The afternoon tea focuses on providing and seeking feedback from community about school operations and also connecting with local services. Some parent dinners include guest speakers to provide information around current trends involving students.
